On 14 April 2024, the Deputy Financial Secretary, Mr Michael WONG, officiated at the Opening Ceremony of the National Security Exhibition Centre (the Centre) of the Civil Aid Service (CAS).
The Centre is located on the first floor of the CAS Headquaters, providing an easy access for both the CAS departmental staff and the CAS voluntary members, to learn the importance of national security for every single citizen of Hong Kong, and how they could contribute themselves for the national security.
There are two sections of the Centre, including the corridor on the first floor, Room 102 as well as Room 103. By means of the style of traditional Chinese painting, the exhibition boards tell the origin of the national security education day and the twenty major fields, such as political security and cultural security, and also the role and responsibility of the CAS in the aspect of national security. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the 1:1 CAS Emergency Rescue Vehicle model, adding that the LED lights provide a final, finishing touch to the model.
The opening hours of the Centre is from 0900 hrs to 1900 hrs until further notice (except reserved for trainings or activities); otherwise the Centre will remain reserved for training purpose.
