Opening of High-Angle Rescue Training Centre of CAS

The Director of Architectural Services, Ms Winnie Ho, today (May 13) officiated at the Opening Ceremony of the High-Angle Rescue Training Centre of the Civil Aid Service (CAS).

Other officiating guests included the Assistant Director of Architectural Services (Property Services), Mr Alan Sin; the Commissioner of the CAS, Mr Lo Yan-lai and the Chief Staff Officer of the CAS, Mr Francis Fong.

Equipped with training facilities for high-angle and confined space rescue, the two-storey new Training Centre serves as a specialised site for personnel of the CAS Mountain Search and Rescue Company and Emergency Rescue Company to conduct training. This enables the personnel to enhance professional knowledge in mountain rescue and urban search as well as rescue skills, thereby strengthening the capabilities in conducting rescue and disaster operations.

After the opening ceremony, Ms Ho and other officiating guests toured around the training facilities of the Centre and watched demonstrations of various training.
